MAUREEN LAUFENBERG
MA LPCC, CCTP
I am a down-to-earth, solution-focused therapist. I’m trained in a number of practices that help to unpack problems, heal distressed thinking patterns, and strengthen client’s skills in managing problems. You, the client, are the center of the work, and my role is to do my part in creating a space that amplifies the best in you, and supports your efforts to reduce the burden of problems, pain or worry.
I integrate Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Neuroscience & trauma research, Buddhist Psychology, EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis, and the Gottman Method for partners. I also have training in career counseling, and will integrate career and leadership development work in where applicable.
I am a sex-positive, LGBTQI friendly clinician working from an intersectional and justice-informed framework. My practice strives to be a safe space for people of all walks of life and in all bodies.
